Sascha Tobias Schrecker
Chief Executive Officer
Sascha Schrecker is passionate about making sustainable manufacturing in Australia the preferred option for brands in the home & personal care industry. In 2022 he was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Albright & Wilson (Australia) Ltd.
Prior to joining Albright & Wilson, Sascha led technical and commercial teams in Europe and Asia at the consumer and industrial goods multi-national Henkel and the Australian family-owned aviation speciality manufacturer Callington Haven Pty Ltd.
At Henkel, he initially focussed on Laundry & Home Care production process innovation and Loctite adhesive technology management at the head office in Germany. From 2014, based out of Shanghai, he was responsible for the Asia adhesives business for the white goods, filter, rail, wind energy and medical device industries. After moving to Australia in 2017, Sascha served as COO and GM at Callington Haven Pty. Ltd., together with the team entering new markets in Australia and establishing a presence in the Middle East. Sascha holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Canterbury.
He also serves as director on the board of Accord, the Australian industry association representing manufacturers and suppliers of hygiene, personal care and specialty products.
Douglas Wales
Sales Director
Since graduating from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Science with honours in Physical Chemistry, Doug has built up a career in in chemical manufacturing of almost 40 years.
Starting with ICI in the Surface Science Labs in Ascot Vale as a surfactant technologist, he honed his technical skills for 5 years prior to transferring into his first sales role. In 1990 he was seconded to ICI Canada in Toronto in a business development role. In late 1992, he returned to ICI to take up the position of Agchem Technical Manager while also doing exploratory visits into Asia to scope opportunities to build new business in the agchem sector. In 1995 he then took on the newly established Agchem Market Manager Asia position and in 1998 this role expanded into the Agchem Market Manager Australasia. In 2001, he moved into his first senior management position, Director of Sales & Marketing for Huntsman Corporation Australia. In 2004 after 20 years with ICI come Orica come Huntsman, Doug moved into a Commercial Director role at Catalent Pharmaceuticals where he held the position until 2010 when he joined Albright & Wilson (Australia) Ltd. in his current role.
Gavin Pan
Purchasing and Procurement Manager
Over 20 years of experience in the field of procurement across different industries, gives Gavin a solid procurement perspective and understanding of end-to-end supply chain activities, strategic sourcing, cost reduction and supplier management.
Prior to joining Albright & Wilson (Australia) Ltd, Gavin has worked at Tyree Group, Huawei, Ampcontrol and Thermo Fisher Scientific. He holds a Master of Engineering Management form the University of Technology Sydney.
Jacky Ching
Financial Controller
Jacky is a CPA qualified finance leader who has joined Albright & Wilson (Australia) Ltd in 2022.
Prior to joining Albright & Wilson, Jacky had been involved in commercial finance, compliance, business integration and transformation projects across various industries where he used his pragmatic creativity to deliver positive impacts and drive changes.
He is passionate about keeping manufacturing strong in Australia and hence his last decade was spent with Australian Manufacturers. His manufacturing journey started with Industrial air conditioning, moving onto consumer packaging and currently residing with industrial chemical manufacturing.
John O’Donnell
Technical Manager
Industrial chemist with 45+ years’ experience in Formulation and Manufacturing of Laundry Detergents, Household Cleaners, Personal Care and Surfactant products. A passionate surfactant chemist who has developed significant expertise in surfactant formulations which has led to the granting of 2 patents in the area of structured surfactant systems.
Johns started his career at Richardson Vicks where he was part of the team that launched locally developed innovations such as Napisan & Exit Mould while contributing to ongoing development of international brands. Over his career, John has worked for a variety of large and small companies, always with a focus on local R&D and manufacturing. John holds a BSc in Applied Chemistry from the UTS, Sydney and has worked at Albright & Wilson for 14 years.
Maria Cara
Supply Chain Manager
Maria is an Industrial Engineer passionate about Supply Chain and Customer Service.
Started her professional career in Argentina in the Telecommunications Industry. After moving to Australia worked in the hair care field for Yasmin Products to then joined Albright & Wilson (Australia) Ltd in 2014.
More than 10 years of experience in Supply Chain with expertise in Supply Planning, Inventory management, Logistic and distribution.
Maria holds a degree in Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed the Certification in Production and Inventory Management from APICS.
Russell Lamont-Fisher
Operations Manager
Russell is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with wide-ranging experience in industrial chemical manufacturing in the UK, Malaysia and Australia.
Russell’s career began at Mowlem Engineering (UK) before joining the Synthomer Group (UK, Malaysia), where he worked in both engineering and operational leadership roles, before joining Albright & Wilson (Australia) in 2022.
Broad operational experience across all facets of operations, with a strong track record in energy efficiency, process safety and manufacturing excellence. Russell holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Aston University and an MBA from Lancaster University.
Melisa Rico
HR & Payroll Manager
Melissa is an associate of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) and a passionate, highly motivated HR professional with over 25 years of experience in payroll management, customer service, and office operations. Her journey in HR began in 2016, and she has since become a dedicated HR Manager focused on enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture that values employee wellness.
Prior to joining Albright & Wilson, Melissa started her career at The LSW Group, where she served as Office Manager, overseeing accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. She later moved to Sell & Parker as Accounts Receivable/Payroll Manager, advancing to Assistant HR & Payroll Manager.
Melissa holds an Associate Diploma in Business, a Diploma in Quality Auditing, and a Cert IV in Human Resources.
